After a lot of negotiation Jesse Jane has decided to stay with Digital Playground, deciding against other contract offers, including one from Brazzers that was rumored to be all but a done deal.

Good for Jesse and good for Digital Playground, they do belong together.

DP is in production with their last big movie that will star Jesse Jane.  No word on what she will do after she leaves DP at the end of the month, some rumors put her at Wicked some say independent and others say retirement.

Whatever it is we wish Jesse the best.

According to inside sources, nothing out of the ordinary as far as Jesse was concerned. BiBi started crying. Now we’ve met BiBi, nice lady, not bad on the eyes either.

Inside word is she BiBi apparently cries when the wind blows {their words not mine}.

The Howard Stern appearance {or lack there of} regarding Jesse Jane. Another well placed source explains Jesse Jane’s appearance was never cancelled nor was she replaced, more like “postponed” to July so Jesse could actually promote her new line of tequila.

Regarding BiBi’s appearance on Stern. I spoke with several performers off the record, and if what she’s said was honest, they want nothing to do with her as far as working with her. Nothing personal , more of a health issue. Now let’s pretend for sake of discussion that it was all B.S. hype, what ever you want to call it. Is this the new age Digital Playground contract star? Pick up random untested strangers, have un protected Sex anywhere, anytime, go back to work, spread the love?

This question aside, how does this entire discussion reflect upon the other Contract performers: Kayden Kross, Riley Steele, Selena Rose and yes, Jesse Jane? These ladies have worked hard to uphold the Perfect Corporate Image of a Porn star that represents Digital Playground.  Clearly since Adella left the pristine public image has left as well.

Finally, Digital Playground wants to re sign Jesse Jane, does she want to re sign with them? Who does this benefit more at this point? Let’s break this down:

She’s one of the most liked performers by the media, always positive, no attitude,

A total pro.  The Perfect face for Digital Playground.

For Jesse?  A Paycheck and not much else.  If the entire twitter exchange is accurate,

If she chooses not to resign, Jesse becomes Cindy Taylor, signs with another company, and makes more money. Sure it’ll take some fans about, 60 seconds to figure out Cindy and Jesse are one and the same, and they {the fans} have even less loyalty then Digital and will follow her where she goes.

What are the hang up’s on will she or won’t she re sign? Seems Digital doesn’t want Cindy promoting her own line of Tequila or anything other then their product, something she apparently will not consider, at this point in her life, she’s looking past porn, planning for the future.

What are the realities of this situation? One way or another, come September, either Cindy or Jesse will continue their Adult career, in one form or another. Barring a major change, Cindy will be using all the good will she has generated with media to focus on her line of Tequila, and pretty much anything else she wants. The right place was, of course Wicked Pictures, whose media savvy PR guru Joy King took advantage of an opportunity and parlayed a cute, all American blonde into Jenna Jameson. The rest as they say, is history.

But that brings us to today.  Will there be another Jenna?  My guess is yes and no. No because that train left the station, the public was ready for a Jenna and one was created.

The next one will be a lot different.  It's going to require more than just looks and a willingness to fuck on camera.  It will require a lot of media savvy.  Pornstars aren't as interesting as they once were, so opportunities will have to be created.

Take Stormy Daniels  running for Senate, for example.  Stormy is smart, very smart, she has a quick wit and can hold her own in any situation and she never comes across as a bimbo. Stormy could arguably eclipse Jenna, particularly if she were to get elected.

The odds on favorite though is going to have to be Sasha Grey.  I always kinda figured she would just be a flash in the pan, but she consistently capitalizes on opportunities that present themselves, and she knows when to steer clear as well. Launched into national attention by being cast in a Steven Soderburg indy film that would otherwise never have seen an audience Sasha found herself a media darling, and things keep coming her way, A Layout in "Playboy" and another in GQ are edging her closer an closer to superstardom.

Sasha presents herself as smart, and while I have joked about it in the past she is actually wise beyond her years, or she is smart enough to listen to whomever  is advising her.  She certainly knew what most porn chicks don't get and she told Howard Stern to "fuck off", refusing to do his show.  This got her more attention than doing the show would have while at the same time showing her to be way wiser than the average pornchick.

If you look at trends particularly in web traffic its easy to see who is on the rise, who has seen their best years and who doesnt have a chance.

Sasha leads the pack with a consistent trend upwards throughout the year, I would have have expected a spike as a result of the press surround "The Girlfriend Experience" but she has been able to maintain that exposure and maximize it.

Stormy Daniels trends upwards as well and a serious bid for the senate in 2010 could push her well over the top, a self proclaimed Libertarian she could well be a spoiler in that race.

Another sleeper is Eva Angelina.  Eva doesn't out pull Stormy and comes nowhere near Sasha but she out pulls what many would consider to be bigger names, like Kayden and Bree Olson.

Kayden has the looks and potentially the smarts but much as I love her she suffers a serious problem with her media skills. But don't count her out, should she sign with Digital Playground, as is rumored they have the best PR people in all of porn.

Tera Patrick has done well for herself but her star is dimming,as is Jesse Jane, nobody stays on top forever, not even Jenna.

Bree and the other Adam and Eve girls don't have a chance, Adam and Eve is not known for their ability to PR their girls and seem to have lost direction of late in terms of company image.

If you look at the big picture it's all going to come down to how well they take advantages of the opportunities they are given and how wisely they use their power of choice.

So Saturday at 6AM I found myself boarding a plane for Los Angeles to attend the premiere of Digital Playgrounds long anticipated sequel to "Pirates"

I want to thank Digital Playground and Joone personally for extending the invitation to Kayden Kross and myself. Additionally I want to thank Adella for personally seeing to it that we were treated like porn royalty. It was a class act and a classy affair, everyone involved should be proud.

It's rare that anyone in porn goes out of their way to make the industry look good and even rarer when they drop a massive amount of money to do so. "Pirates 2, Stagnetti's Revenge" is a milestone, it has been a long time since anyone has produced a movie that marries entertainment and eroticism and it has never been done with such ambition and style.

It is very difficult to list all the standout moments but expect to hear a lot about the Jesse Jane Belladonna girl/girl scene.  Kudos to Belladonna  as well on seriously good acting. Personally I thought Katsuni was the real standout, she never got out of character and she made a role that was comparatively small really stand out, giving her character a reality that few if any adult actresses are capable of doing, she is highly deserving of a best supporting actress win on this one. There were a lot of bit parts and non sex roles in this movie that displayed real acting talents well.

"Pirates, Stagnetti's Revenge" is a must see for raincoaters and for those who appreciate a story and some pretty damn good visual effects as well. look for it to clean up at the AVN Awards.....and I mean clean UP!

Personally, it was my first trip to Los Angeles in 4 years, it was good to see many old friends Tod Hunter, David Sullivan, Roy Karch, Holly Randall, Roger T Pipe, Gram Ponante, Jared Rutter, RobbyD, Jules Jordan, Celeste, Sunny Lane, Moxie Maddron, Tony Batman, Dr X, David Aaron Clark, and prolly a hundred others it was good to see everyone.
