Roy finally got back tome and when I asked he offered proof that he had paid the talent fees for the girl in question to Shy Love. I’m convinced that he did in fact pay Shy Love and that Shy Love is the one who hasn’t paid at this point.

I have a lot of emails complaining of similar experiences with Roy but this was the only one to go on record so Roy it appears that you indeed held up your end of the deal and I apologize for implying that it was you who wasn’t paying the talent.

I need some help from my fellow photographers, webmasters, and anyone else that might have some advice on this subject.

I submitted some pictures I took of Nicole Graves aka CoCo to Gallery Magazine’s GND in early 2006 and they liked them enough to hire Nicole to shoot for their November 2006 issue of Gallery Magazine’s “Girl Next Door” of the month. She did the shoot with Steven Hicks crew on 06/20/06 and of course Steven and his crew are awesome and it was a great shoot, one of Nicole’s favorite, and Nicole appeared in Gallery’s magazine as a result.

Our problem is this, Nicole ($2500) still hasn’t been paid by Gallery Magazine’s parent company Montcalm Publishing and neither have I ($500) as the submitting photographer. I don’t know if Steven got paid, but I hope he did so he isn’t going through what Nicole and I are going through.

I’ve spoken to Brian Orenstein the CFO of Montcalm Publishing and have gotten nowhere with him and he just gives me the run around and excuses. Is there anyone out there who has any suggestions on how to get paid by Gallery and Montcalm Publishing? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We all love and admire Nicole’s work and no one she has worked with has ever stiffed her until now. She did her shoot over a year ago on 06/20/06and still hasn’t received a penny for her work. Is there anyone else out there who is having the same problem?

Nicole appears in Gallery’s GND November 2006 issue as CoCo and it is an awesome shoot, but Nicole and I just want to get paid for what they contractually agreed to pay us.

Monday started routinely enough for Morehouse College police Lt. T.J. McCrary, but the day took an abrupt turn when he foiled an early morning robbery.

He had taken his 7-year-old daughter to school, then stopped for breakfast at his usual spot — the Waffle House on Panola Road in south DeKalb County — when a would-be robber walked into the restaurant.

McCrary was off-duty and in plainclothes, which apparently is why the man, wearing a white mask, didn’t notice him sipping coffee in a booth near the front door.

“He yelled, ‘You know what time it is — I want everybody down,’ ” McCrary said at a news conference.

McCrary, 55, said he slowly reached under his jacket for his 9 mm semiautomatic handgun.

“I eased it up and laid it on my lap,” he said.

As the man swept his gun back and forth across the eatery, ordering customers and employees to the floor, McCrary said, he stood and yelled “Police officer, drop the weapon.”

The man, who has not been identified, aimed his gun at McCrary, who fired twice, hitting the man in the abdomen, the officer said.

The suspect was taken to a local hospital, where he was in critical condition, police said.

My only regret is that Officer McCrary didn’t kill this asshole, now we the taxpayers will have to pay to cure him, try his ass find him guilty then let him go with a slap on the wrist, and then re-arrest the predator when he commits a crime again, hell he may kill someone next time.
