Lately, he has been railing against Bush. He has 25 million listeners plus. This incident, the airing and suspension, happened in 2 days. The CEO of Clear Channel got pressured and caved. Then stood before congress and declared he was embarrassed by this language. Seemed to be OK for him the last 10 years. Basically, and this is my opinion, he’s a coward. Even people who don’t like Stern, for the most part, disagree and are nervous of this “Big Brother” reaction.

The Premiere for “Loaded” was a blast!:

I didn’t see enough of the movie to review it but heres what thebluepages had to say:

“I have just one word: AWESOME! To say that I was impressed would be a gross understatement on my part.

Can we say production value? Granted, one comes to expect this when DP makes a video, but they’ve certainly pushed the envelope on this one. The cinematography alone is enough to have the competition reconnoiter the manner in which stroke flicks are typically produced. Just a glance is enough to tell you, that the entire budget went into the video and not up anyone’s nose. Already renown for being the defacto standard on interactive adult formats, one wonders where do you go from here?

Yes folks, this flick IS that good. The special effects and original music gets a 10 score for sure, as do the lighting and the creative camera angles. Oh, and did I mention the fact that there’s also a descent story line?

Is Jesse Jane Icon material? You bet! This girl can seriously act. Never have I seen a stroke flick were I was able to suspend my disbelief with respects to the acting. How many times have you seen a model getting the pipe only to see her acknowledge the camera’s presence? Nothing is more annoying then that, and it can easily kill a scene when, right in the he middle of an orgasm, faced contorted every which way, the girl stares directly into the camera lens. I equate that sort of reaction to those who feel compelled to wave at a camera and shout “HI MOM” at typical sporting events. You won’t see that in Jesse.

The sex scenes themselves are pretty hot and I’m willing to go on record to state that I believe Jesse will subplant Jenna in due time as the industries top model. I’ve also seen the future of porn and its here today, they go by the name of Digital Playground. “

“I got a kick out of Stern saying that Clear Channel Radio is “…so afraid of me and what this show represents.” I’m wondering what that would be exactly. He gets people on the show and constantly talks over them, demanding to know intimate details of their personal life, whether they want to talk about it or not. He comes on to every chick he has on, and then he treats women like they’re nothing more than “things” which he will deem worthy or unworthy. He’s an ego stroker to the good looking women and the not so good looking women are treated like trash. Who the hell cares if he got kicked off some stations, Pburgh included. Personally I wish Howard had to stand naked before a roomful of chicks who could say whatever cruel things they wanted to about his body. What the show “represents”…give me a fucking break. It’s interesting that Stern should be allowed to do/say whatever HE wants, yet his bosses should not have the same freedoms.
Personally I think if the radio stations feel the dj’s are getting out of control in daylight hours, they only have themselves to blame. After all, who wouldn’t get out of control if they knew they could say whatever they wanted and somebody ELSE had to pay the fine??”

Now I gotta give Goddess some credit here, she is pretty much on the money. I have long contended that Stern is no friend of porn and when Stern gets fined he doesn’t pay a dime, Viacom pays it. I’m not saying Stern shouldn’t be allowed to do what he does, he absolutely should be, just as I can choose, as an advertiser whether or not I want to advertise on his show. If you don’t like it, don’t listen.

It’s not quite the same, Bubba lost it all, Howard lost all of his Clear Channel affiliates. But guess what I actually support this one, the reason is not that the FCC forced Howard off the air, in this case Clear Channel decided that they didn’t like Howards portrayals of Blacks and females and they have every right to decide to drop him from their channels. It’s fine for the market to run him off, it’s not fine for the government to do it. IMHO this is just Clear Channel doing what people in porn should do, and that is self control.

Bubba the Love Sponge Loses his Show:

Nationally syndicated radio shock jock Bubba the Love Sponge has lost his Tampa based show, a reuslt of the FCC cracking down on shows with sexual content in prime hours. Bubba can still be heard on XM Radio but that’s it. This should serve as a wake up call, this administration appears poised to take on our right decide what we think is right for us. Think about that come election day.

Gay Marriage, Some Thoughts:

This seems to be a big issue right now, everyone has an opinion on it and I can even understand everyones reasoning. I think the church has every right to refuse to perform gay marriages, I do not think that a gay couple should not be allowed to marry, if they choose to do so. I may even say that the church is wrong not to condone it because I believe that by and large gay people are born gay and they are Gods children and personally I kind of think that God is OK with it. BUT the church certainly has every right to decide this issue for themselves, it should not be legislated for them on any level.

Now where I REALLY get upset is with George Bush using this as a wedge issue, for starters as far as the federal government is concerned this should be a states right issue untill the Supreme Court makes a decision otherwise, more importantly this should not be a “constitutional amendment” as Bush is pushing for. First of all I think that its going to be a tough sell, a constitutional amendment requires a two thirds majority of both the house and the sentae as well as ratification by at LEAST 38 states. This would take a minimum of 4-7 years. So what we have is George Bush clinging to an issue that is terribly unimportant in the grand sceme of things, it may be an emotional issue but there are much more important issues for President Bush to be spending his energy on, he needs to focus on the job we put him in office to do and stop fucking around with election year grandstanding.

Just want to share my thoughts with you on a slew of issues (politics, Rob Black, current state of our industry.) Where to begin?

Lets start with Rob Black. Whats going to happen at his trial? Granted, the sick fuck deserves to be in jail for all of his sleeze but if he is convicted, dont you think the government and local authorities will turn up the heat even more? Sad to say, many in our industry are best benefitted for an acquital for the jerk off. Why? Well, lets see. If that sick fuck’s material cant be deemed obscene, then those of us who are doing your garden variety porn cant even be close to obscene. On the flip side, we all know the government wont just swallow defeat and I am afraid at that time, we will begin to see legislation enacted on just what is/isnt acceptable. Good riddance to the Miller test, however, the next “test” may be just enough to shut us all down.

In regards to politics/government, isnt it funny how double standard our country has become? Go back to the beginning of this country. Our forefathers didnt want to pay taxes so we revolted. Today, we are forced to pay taxes just the same as we did long ago. Double standard? Washington is “cracking” down on corporations who lie/inside trading but doesnt that sum up just about every politician? We are constantly preached to about seperation of church and state and the declining moral values of our country but then we politicians who nail interns, cheat on their wives, etc… Double standard?

We have government officials who are “appalled” that Janet’s titty popped out. Answer me this. How many do you think turned their head when it happened? I am willing to bet none. Now the FCC is cracking down on everyone and is about to be “fine happy.” What better way to line the governments pockets? Our government is claiming to be doing this for the “good of the children.” isnt is hysterical that every time the government has an agenda they slap the label “for the good of the children” on it and immediately gain all this support? They say to keep porn away from the children and god knows many of us try our hardest but would the government/parents rather their kid gets hands on training and potentially ruin their life at a young age with pregnancy/stds? Surely, some teenager rubbing one off is much safer and wont drastically impare his future of success.

Heres the major issue I have with the government. If they accomplished eradicating porn as they wish to (it will never happen), just think of all of the people that will be out of work. You think unemployment is high now? Fuck, even the jobs the government “creates” isnt enough for those who have Bachelors degrees let alone the majority in porn who know how to do one thing. The tech industry is down and so is the economy. So where does the government plan to put all those they put out of business?

Everybody has benefitted from porn is some aspect. The tech industry benefitted from porn. Fuck, how many people 7 years ago went out and bought a computer just so they could download some cute little pics? Now look at the market today. Damn near everyone has a computer or two. Cable companies, internet providers, etc… all benefit from porn. The government…they benefit too. They dont like porn but they sure dont refuse Hustler’s taxes now do they? Even the non-profit christian groups benefit. They get donations and funds to give them something else to bitch and whine about. What the fuck would they be doing if they werent out trying to be a “better” citizen than you and I and ridding the world of porn? Oh thats right, they would be molesting altar boys. So i suppose we should take some solom is knowing that why these anti porn groups who spend all their time attacking us means they have less time to molest altar boys.

The government pussed out when it came to defining obscenity. They allow states and the commnuity to define what is obscene. Yet, Bruce Taylor has no problem prosecuting in all 50 states. So if the federal government sees fit to prosecute wherever it chooses, shouldnt it show some balls and define just what they feel is obscene? The idea that by being broad in the defintion that we will “self-regulate” is complete and utter bullshit. Self-regulation sure didnt help Rob Black now did it? There is a reason why the government has not pushed for an across the board definition of obscenity. Because they know at some point it will be overturned and declared unconstitutional. Then they can do nothing. Rob Black might just force the issue.

We can invade other countries and declare war based on lies that is passed off as “bad intelligence.” Am I the only one who is fucking scared to death of my country? Whats to stop the authorities from invading my home based on “bad intelligence”? All in the name of terror they say. Am I the only one that thinks every time they claim to have thwarted another terrorist attempt that its nothing more than bullshit so they can keep playing thier power trip in the name of terror? Fuck, its been three years since 9/11. They knew 9/11 was going to happen. Isnt it possible they that knew what was going to happen but sat back and waited and then used the tragedy to increase thier power?

Our government is no holier than those we claim are in the axis of evil. We ran the Indians off and claimed their land. We have funded terrorists networks that benefitted us and then came back and bit us in the ass. Whatever happened to the war on drugs? Funny we never hear much about that ever. Fuck, all we hear about now is Iraq and Saddam but not as much about Bin Laden. The government is the number propigation machine. PR the wars you win, ignore the ones you dont.

Which brings me to the industry today. Guys like Black and Max Hardcore make us all easy targets. Because we are in the same industry (though I beg to differ), we are all lumped together. We provide entertainment. They provide whatever it is they provide. The industry needs to stand up and defend the lifestyle and business we lead. We will never convince the anti porn side to conform and accept our views and actions. The major step is educate the one group we can…OUR CUSTOMERS. How hard is to put a political message in our films. Would that not give our films the political value that is referred to in the definition of obscenity? Fuck, even a 30 second clip telling our customers to fight the war on censorship or directing them to a website with information on contacting our congressmen and representatives. We have the means to reach our customer with this information. Fuck, they are veiwing our videos. The chance is there. If our customers dont stand up for their right to view it then where does that leave us? OUT OF BUSINESS! No customers, means no sales, means no fucking reason to do what we do. A political or informational message may not prevent a conviction, but it makes us more defensible to an overzealous prosecutor.

Sorry for the long rant. I am sure if you run this one you will get a lot of replies and honestly, I am very interested in what the rest of the porn world thinks about this.

Theres not much I can say here except to say that it’s interesting that the fate of this industry may be directly tied to Rob Black. On the one hand I wish we had put a stop to this shit before it happened, but now I must support Black if for no other reason than if he rolls over it makes it easier to come after someone else, and if enough people roll over they may eventually gain enough momentum to really hurt this industry.

I want to state right now that when Black goes to trial, I have every intention of being in the courtroom every day and reporting about it here. There are going to be some decisions in this case that one way or another will likely work their way to the Supreme Court and they WILL affect everyone on the web one way or the other.

My 24 hours in politics

I said I was going to get more involved in the political scene this time around. With John Kerry coming to Vegas, I made the trip to see him speak. I thought I got there early enough only to find nowhere to park. Finally nestled on a side street, I headed into the packed hall waiting for the Senator, who I had voted for while living in Mass., to arrive. Even though I’m a Democrat, I’m not married to whoever they put out there. In fact, I watched Bush’s appearance on Meet the Press with Russert (who I consider to be the best interviewer in TV) with an open mind. When Bush said the word capable instead of just saying “The Buck stops here” he lost me. I hope Russert does the debates. Back to the journey. I found a seat and listened to the Mariachi Band they had playing. They were good but after a while and not having a Margarita in hand, I was ready for the Senator to arrive. By the time Kerry got there, the venue was packed so much, many outside couldn’t get in because of capacity.
He started to speak and it was clear he considers no other Dem a threat. Not a mention of the other candidates. It was all about Bush and all about Kerry’s plans. He talked about the usual Dem platforms, Medicare, healthcare, Social Security. He talked a bit about developing renewable energy and then Yucca Mountain which, only 75 miles from my house was a key topic. Bush broke this promise to all of Nevada. He also said in his first 100 days he would enact legislation that politicians retiring couldn’t become lobbyists for 5 years and that all meetings between lobbyist and politicians would be public record. He also specifically said he was looking forward to Ashcroft going. Overall a good speech. Off to the caucus’s tomorrow (Feb 14th)

I arrived to an over flowing caucus site. I had never participated in one and looked forward to it. Kerry once again stopped by to rally the troops but it was already obvious he is going to roll in this one. I registered and hit the cafeteria where we would caucus or discuss the different candidates and vote. One problem. This year’s caucus had at least 1500% more turnout than 2000. So this day, Feb 14th 2004. Nevada became the first Democratic Caucus to be held in a football stadium and field! After opening remarks by our Senator Harry Reid and Congress-women Shelley Berkley, each candidate had a rep talk briefly about their guys. We then broke off into precincts to vote. That part went quick. Mostly Kerry with a few Edwards and Dean people. I have to say a caucus gets you more involved in the process than a primary. It was a good 24 hour experience. I predict record turnout this Nov which could spell big trouble for Bush. So Mike you get the exclusive before Fox or CNN. Kerry will win big. (Big surprise)
So it comes to this. Participate in your caucuses and primaries. Vote in Nov. for whoever is your choice. It’s just a hunch but I’m guessing maybe 10% of the adult industry voted last election and I think I’m being kind. If you don’t vote, you can’t bitch

At this point I whole heartedly agree that Bush is in big trouble, Ashcroft is a big anchor around his neck as is his general lack of credibility and zero charisma. I don’t see the affair thing hurting Kerry at this point.

There is at least one commercial which talks about Valentines day being Saturday, now assuming that the video is the real deal, the last time Valentines day was on a Saturday was 1998, which would make Paris Hilton all of 16 years old (She was born 2-17-1981) when the tape was made.

All of this adds up to … it’s most likely a big ass hoax, probably the additional footage was filmed with look alikes and filmed very recently at that.
