CNBC Says "Mike South - South is the Nikki Finke of the porn industry. His blog, which is never short on opinion, is a must-read among industry insiders. His style is unique, but he is also a leading agent of change within the industry. There are few fence-sitters when it comes to opinions about South, but no one ignores him."

Big Shake Up at the Free Speech Coalition:

I heard rumors that this was coming, and even rumors why but I was sworn to secrecy. Bill Lyon HWMIC at the Free Speech Coalition has been given his walking papers. I know why, or at least I have a pretty good idea but can’t disclose it at this time in the event that it isn’t correct. This could grow into something rather large.

Meanwhile Kat Sunlove has been chosen to replace him as Executive Director, might be because she is the only one willing to take the job, and she is just temporary, or so they say. Yep this is the same Kat Sunlove who expenses 20 dollar a day tips to the maids at the hotel in Sacramento, or so says her expense reports.

The sad thing is that the FSC should be one of our industries shining lights, but it has never acheived that status. Alleged misuse of funding and a closed book policy has led even the staunchest supporters to wonder where it all went and alienation of talent, store owners and webmasters didn’t help.

With the sole exception of standing on the right side of the .xxx top level domain issue, the FSC has done precious little in recent memory. I say let it die a well deserved death and out of that death let a pheonix rise to do what the FSC should have done long ago, represent this industry and all the people in it.
