Julie this is really good. You have a geft for being able to put your life experiences into words that capture the moment.
One of the things that I always though weird is that from a very early age we expose children to death,violence, gore and horror. (Witches that eat them, falling out of cradles in trees, and all that stuff) yet we generally wait until she is knocked up to even broach the subject of sexuality, it really doesnt make much sense. But then what exactly about child rearing in this country does....I have to have a license to put a worm on a hook and fish but any moron can push out babies as fast as she can get knocked up by baby daddy
I know. I hate to buy into the propaganda things I read, but it does make me wonder... Truth is we're the most naîve bunch of people, with the worst health problems, drug abuse problems, lack of education about our own geography, let alone the rest of the world... There must be some obvious reason for that, and therefore, a way to correct it.
I was just talking to a coworker yesterday about how Porky Pig (no relation to your latest post lol), was condemned, finally, for not having any pants. Of course, pigs don't wear pants, or shirts for that matter (in relation to your latest post lol), and how right after all of that nonsense, all the friendly cartoons were replaced with The Transformers and ninja cartoons - violent cartoons, basically.
