Kink Drops Deen As A Performer and Director

In what is probably the biggest blow yet in this affair Kink has dropped James deen as a performer, additionally Kink Director Lorilei Lee has come forward in support of Stoya.

Kink had this to say:

For the Kink.com community, as well as the larger BDSM community, consent and respect are sacrosanct. Effective immediately, Kink.com will cease all ties with James Deen, both as a performer and a producer.

Our performers deserve not only safe sets, but the ability to work without fear of assault. Rape or sexual assault, with or without a safe-word, off-set or on, should never be accepted as a hazard of adult production. While many of the allegations against Deen are new, the pattern is alarming. Over the coming weeks and months, we will review our Model Bill of Rights to strengthen rights of performers off-set, and work with the larger industry to help performers to have been assaulted to more easily come forward.

  1. People are going bananas on Twitter. He is already been judged guilty. Maybe he is, but it amuses me how vile people can be. It gives me goosebumps to think that people i think to be my friends today they might want to burn me tomorrow as soon as they hear of an accusation by someone they don’t even know.

About Kink…what to say…with all the scenes he shot for them one would think they knew already if he was what he is depicted to be now. So, once again, i see a lot of hypocrisy in this first minute reactions. If they knew already, why did it allow it? What credibility they have now?
If they never noticed anything wrong, why give him the sack just one hour after an accusation and not giving him the chance to defend himself? They are all part of the same circus.

  2. I don’t agree with the unwritten requirement that a person in the entertainment industry must be politically correct but due to the nature of a performer’s job at Kink (especially a dom’s which the vast majority of James’ scenes were) and the fact that James is essentially accused of rape, a suspension while he is being investigated is appropriate. If the accusations are true (I wish to withhold judgment for a while until more of the evidence is in although assuming these women are telling the truth it is pretty damning) I would be extremely hesitant to hire him as he might go off script and rape/injure/kill someone on my set.

  3. The domino effect has begun. It’s horrible that there are multiple accusations. The efficacy of social media is often much more powerful than the legal system. This dude rang my douche alert bell the minute we met. Also, one consideration about horrible shit like this is that Stoya is a pretty hardcore feminist, and is all too aware of the damage caused by crying wolf. This story isn’t over. Deen’s career is ruined by his own doings.

  4. It’s amazing to see how quickly Deen has gone from “star” to bus traction material.

Let’s be fair here though: Deen did plenty of scenes that are from the “rough” side of porn. If that is his preference in real life as well, I can imagine some girls not being into the game and getting a big surprise when the stop words don’t work. The concept of consensual and non consensual sex for those who like domination / rough sex / whatever you want to call it must be hard.

That said, rape is rape. I hate seeing someone being found guilty by the media, but at the same time I have to applaud everyone who is proactively taking steps to distance themselves from him at least until things pan out.

Oh, Apparently Doc Johnson is dropping his wiener from their sex toy list.

Gotta wonder… any connection between Deen and Duke? That would be, well… juicy!

  5. Maaaaan fuck this guy! C’mon everyone in the industry knows this but nobody wants to believe it or simply they just ignore it. Why do you think everyone is quickly dropping this guy??? Because everyone knows it to be true and it took one brave woman to speak up! He’s put Joanna Angel in the hospital, it’s because of him Jesse Rogers left the business (he beat her up) and all the other girls who are coming forward! This cunt is nothing more than a sociopath. And it’s a shame he’s been able to get away with it for this long. Rape is NEVER EVER OK!

  7. Here is a view point on men who enjoy rough sex. Many of them get this notion that if a girl enjoys rough sex, and she consents to rough sex, that means that anything that guy is into, she is willing to take. If their egos are big enough, they can not fathom that she would want to tap out at some point or say no to some particular act. It doesn’t compute to them. They tell themselves “every girl loves this” blah blah, and that narrative is hard to break. So you get situations where a guy goes to far and the girl says no, or stop, or whatever, and he just keeps going.

This happens in the civilian world often too; most girls just get out of there and stop seeing the guy and move on. Very rare is it reported because the first thing is “you enjoy rough sex and went with this guy, this is just sour grapes or bullshit”. it is a losing proposition in most cases.

People also seem to forget that the vast majority of rapes go unreported, and the vast majority of those are with people the girl knows (guys they are dating, bar hookups, boyfriends, even husbands). Society and law enforcement seem to focus on the “random guy jumping into an alley and raping a girl” and brush off very quickly the notion of a guy raping a girl he is dating. It is really unfortunate and we have a long long way to go as a society to take “rape with someone you know” more seriously.

  8. Hey remember when eveeerrrybody loved Deen because he actually stares into a womans eyes as he’s f’in them? Supposedly it was because he was trying to connect with them…blah blah. There was a little write up in Jezebel about it.
“Deen films roughly one bondage and S&M scene for every three straight scenes. “I’ve been into rough sex pretty much my whole sexual life and so I’m not, like, bad at it,” Mr. Deen told the Observer. “I don’t know how to say it without being a hideous prick, but I’m pretty good at having rough sex. It got to the point where a lot of girls who aren’t into that type of sex were afraid to work with me because they thought I was going to slap them in the face or something.” http://jezebel.com/5892942/james-deen-feminist-hero-or-lady-porn-star
