Seems that Manwins “golden touch” has expired. Pretty much all of the Manwin properties are in turmoil. Digital Playground, once a premiere company for high end movies is now just doing your standard low end porn and they have slipped into just another porn company, but more importantly their stable of contract girls are, for the most part revolting on them. About six months ago Stoya, who has an exclusive deal with Digital but not really a contract wanted to shoot condom only so Digital stopped shooting her but wouldnt allow her to shoot for anyone else either, tying it up in court and forcing Stoya to spend about thousands on her own lawyers to try to get out of it, eventually they settled. Bibi Jones wanted out of Digital but she had signed a standard contract that made her exclusive but DP didn’t have any obligations to shoot her on any regular basis so when she tried to leave they tied her up as well, She finally came back to DP but flaked on the first two shoots. Jesse jane is now said to be doing girl girl only and Kayden Kross is making similar noise. Riley Steele is out and Selena is not allowed to leave the state of Florida because of charges of possession of a controlled substance.
But it isn’t just DP, across the board Manwin has drastically cut production. The main guys that they buy from are based either in LA or in Las Vegas and they are all in mortal combat with the Las Vegas guys threatening to drop dime on the LA guys for not shooting with condoms and the LA guys threatening to dime out the Vegas guys for shooting in Clark County (Las Vegas) where porn production is ILLEGAL.
Word is these 4 main guys were getting 5,500 bucks for each scene they sold to Manwin.
Combine that with Manwins legal problems in Germany and investigations into their doings here and the long term prognosis isnt good.
Mike: How might the turmoil impact Brazzers? They seem to be posting as much content as ever. They dropped the most violent scenes, but are posting more squirt than ever – and I use squirt loosely, since in many there’s no question but that the gal is peeing.

Interesting you ask about Brazzers…its one of the few properties that Manwin hasn’t cut way back on but bear in mind they could shut down production for Brazzers tomorrow and probably keep updating for a year.
The big cuts have come at dp, playboy. and to some degree mofos and then the lesser sites they own. They also cut out the 50K a month they were giving the FSC as well as other donations to various orgs.
Thanks for the clarification, Mike. You wonder if DP implodes, is there another production house that would pick up stars like Jesse Jane, Stoya and Kayden. It seems like Vivid has cut way back on its contract stars. That leaves Wicked? I suppose if you’re either of those houses, you cut someone loose to make room for a star like Jesse Jane.
I doubt Bt Wicked would use any female porn stars that Manwin fired becuase Manwin runs Wicked videos web sites. So if any girl got black list from Manwin she would be getting job Wicked videos.

Thoughts Over The Morning’s Coffee: Manwin Isn’t Imploding; But Diane Duke Is

The podunk website this week put out a story that Manwin’s imploding. I guess that contradicts the one I’m hearing that Manwin’s invested a ton of money in a production rumored to have cost more than Pirates and anything Axel Braun has put out to date.
However the story that Diane Duke and FSC have failed to file their No On B campaign finance disclosures to the LA County Registrar has strong ramifications. It goes back to a card reading I did last year.
At that time I announced that Duke would be gone from the FSC by June, 2012. In making these predictions, I always hasten to add that you can’t put a time frame on these matters. Duke’s gone from the FSC. There’s no question about it. It’s just a matter whether she makes the decision to vacate or if it’s going to be done for her. The way this year has been going for many in the adult industry, I’m inclined to say it will be a health issue.
But Manwin imploding? I wouldn’t bet on it.
Gene, Mike has a better track record of being correct than you do. Everyone gets it wrong once in a while but with Fabian on ice and most (if not all) of their EU funds likely frozen by taxation authorities Manwin does not have a choice — they have to cut expenditures to survive on just what they make in the US and Canada. I suspect they will let all of the contract stars at DP go and slowly merge it into Brazzers. Once Fabifuck is convicted in Germany the dominoes will fall as the German authorities get all of their worldwide assets frozen and non-cash assets sold in a fire sale of sorts. The real muscle and money people behind Manwin are probably shaking in their boots afraid of just the scenario I described as Fabifuck is nominally majority owner of Manwin.
