What Has Our Country Become

Couldn’t have said it better

Admittedly this has little to do with porn, but sometimes I just need a little catharsis and today is one of those days.

When I look at the choices our two major parties have dredged up, and I do mean dredged up, it saddens me very deeply.  Hillary Clinton being by far the worst.  If you or I had done what she did we would be in jail, no doubt about it, and she doesn’t even have to stand trial.  Even liberal publications like The Washington Post  have reported that what she did was WAY worse than is being investigated by the FBI, and these are the 45% of the emails left after she deleted and erased most them, thus not turning them over to the FBI.  Compared to Nixon and Watergate she makes Nixon look like he covered up stealing penny candies.

This country was founded on the rule of law and on equal protection under the law and that NOBODY is above the law.  Clearly that is no longer the case, it seems ever since Nixon, the ruling class has gone to great lengths to insulate themselves from criminal prosecution, and I don’t just mean Democrats, Republicans are equally guilty.  Little Boots (Bush 2) should have been tried for treason, he knowingly lied to the American people and to our allies.  He sent Colin Powell to sell the UN on the whole weapons of mass destruction idea because he knew he was lying and the UN knew it as well, he chose Powell because Powell didn’t know it was a lie and because Powell had the respect of the UN, something that Bush nor Cheney had. note I say … Powell had.  I am no fan of our current involvement in the UN but the truth is the truth.

Because of the way that we have been treated America woke up and propelled Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders to the forefront of American politics.  Had The democratic party been honest Bernie would likely have won the nomination, but Hillary had it in the bag before the first primary, all of those “pledged delegates” were pledged in exchange for her stepping down in 2008 and allowing Obama to take the nomination, in exchange she was given a high position in the Obama administration that would groom her in her weakest area, foreign policy.

Believe me when I tell you that the Republicans would have stopped Trump just like the Democrats squashed Bernie, if they could have, and it wasn’t for lack of trying that they didn’t.  It was supposed to be Jeb Bush’s for the taking, and they tried every trick they had to make that happen, but Republican file wanted no part of that, even if the rank did….

So Trump will be the nominee.  I am not one of these people who fears a Trump Presidency, He might seem like he could become a dictator but in reality he can’t, even with Executive orders.  Our founding fathers had the good sense to install a very good system of checks and balances to prevent any part of the government  from gaining too much power,  even though today we have professional and career politicians in all branches of government and they all look out for each other, they are still, by design,  pitted against each other and even when they conspire they are way too power hungry to give up much of their power, which has led to what I call the UniParty  Republicans and Democrats being just different names for the same thing, creating an illusion of choice. But I digress.

I am and have always been Libertarian, I believe that if our political system is to be  saved it will be Libertarian ideals that save it.

When I look at the people in porn it saddens me, if ever there was a group that SHOULD be strongly Libertarian it is us, we have a lot of people in the biz who claim to be Libertarian but they are just as bad at lying as Hillary and Little Boots, Mark Kernes for instance claims to be Libertarian but he has never once voted for a Libertarian candidate, he is a Democrat but if he has one atom in his head that comprises a brain he knows that Democrats and Republicans are two names for the same thing and that they will sell us down the river in a heartbeat if there is one iota of political gain in doing so.

I am no Trump fan by any means but the idea of Hillary Clinton in the White house is something I just cant stomach, I am pleased that Trump has kicked the Republican party square in the nuts, I am pleased that  Bernie did the same thing to the Democratic party, but Bernie is OUT unless he runs as a third party.  Trump has made millions of dollars off of porn, I don’t see him as anywhere near the threat to the industry that Hillary could be, Trump may say some things to appease the hard right but his actions prior to now actually put him way more of a Democrat than a Republican.  I doubt that Trump would be a thorn in the side of porn, he simply has way bigger fish to fry.

For me Gary Johnson earns my vote, I think if porners searched deep into the voids that they call a soul, they would find Trump as the most likely “lesser of two evils”, but it isn’t really about porn or the industry, as I have stated I no longer consider myself a part of that industry, the online porn industry, yes, the traditional porn valley…no.

Getting back to the heart of the topic, it just infuriates me that we have gotten to the point that we allow the very people who should be examples of honesty and integrity and leadership to not have to answer to the same laws the rest of us do.  Little Boots and Crooked Hillary are subhuman, abhorrent examples of humanity yet we select them to lead us?  That is very sad to me.  Very sad.

  1. I voted for Bernie Sanders. For the life of me I can’t understand how anyone with even 1/2 a brain could vote for Trump (antichrist) or Clinton. She is a lifelong Washington insider that took lots and lots of Corporate money to win the Primaries. How can she possible vote for the average hard working person? She did not even attempt to deny it. She just ignored Sander’s complaints about her donations and hoped it would all go away.

  2. If one more person in adult says well Trump sold alots of porn in his hotels so we are safe. Im going to scream. Trump needs the religious right, he has Ralph Reed defending him.So Ralphs on the payroll now. Getting the family council on board. Porn is easy long hanging fruit to give them to guarantee their continuing support.

  3. The reason Clinton wins in November is because she is up against a guy who has offended too many people to win a general election. If she was up against a more reasonable candidate, I can’t see the people putting her in the white house. This is one of those “hold your nose” votes where you will have a sick feeling with either one. (at least for most reasonable people).

It will be an interesting 4 years with either one of them. I would think Hillary will have a ridiculous amount of scandals during her 4 year term and Trump, well… who the fuck knows…. I don’t think he will be bad as people think because, like Mike pointed out, there are too many checks and balances for a president to become a dictator.

he can only do so much without co operation from Congress and he will have to negotiate down a lot of his so called ideas. Even executive orders can be overturned by Congress with certain vote percentages. He is in a position where the Republican members of Congress will not just rubber stamp anything he does so they will be able to control him.

There has been some sort of voter message this time with Trump and Sanders doing so well; however, if Clinton gets in, then the message wasn’t strong enough and the dirty insider still made it.

The President is not as powerful as people think. There are so many ways to stop someone from doing something bordering on lunacy. Even the nukes there has to be other people involved, a president just can’t launch them because he is pissed off at a country one day. He can’t fund his wall without approval and so his wall will either not happen or it will be dialed down to something small in just a few select places. (negotiation).

  4. I think the real impact of this election cycle will be how it effects non-presidential races in the House and Senate. There are likely to be a fair number of voters going to the polls, not so much to support “their” candidate for President, but to vote against Trump and/or Clinton. Those new and missing votes may swing the majority in the Senate. A DEM majority in the Senate and Hillary in the White House likely means a liberal majority in the Supreme Court.

There will also be a somewhat smaller number of voters, who usually vote in presidential elections, who will skip this one because they can’t bring themselves to vote for their party candidate.

Gary Johnson will likely get a larger percentage of the vote than any prior third party candidate, but I think it will be a fairly even split between voters that would usually vote GOP or DEM.

In the end it will likely come down to the same thing as the last few presidential elections, three swing states with the most electoral votes. FL, OH and PA. Unless he can win some historically blue states Trump needs all three and a few more.

“He might seem like he could become a dictator but in reality he can’t, even with Executive orders. lol stealing “UniParty” to further confound idiots stuck in their paper bags trying to argue the parties aren’t ‘flip-sides to the same coin’. The checks/balances of our government aren’t reassuring to me since they no longer work as intended.

This week political pundits are having fun with numbers & percentages of Executive orders overturned by the courts. Every president has orders overturned, most haven’t circumvented the time-tested regulatory processes designed to prevent implementation of bad policy affecting every citizen forcing judicial intervention after the fact.

Since 1/20/2009 Obama has signed 235 executive orders. 12/2/2011 Whitehouse.gov stopped publicly posting the sequential numbering used to ensure transparency, reducing ability of the people to participate in the checks/balances process. This was further eroded when Obama essentially exempted his office and several direct reports from FOIA. Loads of legislation from the 50’s had to go but FOIA wasn’t on the list.

Keeping the PEOPLE out of the loop in a government OF & BY the PEOPLE is a bigger threat than whoever has been or will ultimately add their name to the list of U.S. Presidents. Look at the list of orders, councils established etc and good luck convincing me both parties aren’t equally guilty at pandering to big money/ political influencers that don’t give a shit about the PEOPLE unless they’re lining pockets around the table.

  6. Just for comparison sake let take a look at how many executive orders were issued by other recent presidents. In orders per year in office…
    R. Reagan – 47.6
    G.H.W. Bush – 47.1
    B. Clinton – 45.1
    G.W. Bush – 33.4
    B. Obama – 32.61 (through 6/20/2016)

It took me all of about 3 minutes to find a list of all 242 of Obama’s Executive Orders on the Internet. Not sure why FOIA applies.

  7. @Toby

You gotta know I love stats & facts but cant do anything with the numbers you gave without a source or reference…anyway my comment wasn’t a comparison; it was my opinion gov office holders are using their offices to nullify the check/balance of the PEOPLE by withholding information from the PEOPLE. The executive orders as written are available at WhiteHouse.gov. Not sure but expect National Archives has the 13,488 exec orders that came before Obama’s time.

FOIA comes in because all the advisory councils, committees etc funded by our tax money answer directly to the president who cherry picks information to release and used executive privilege to shield everything else as if releasing it would impact national security. Look up a guy named MOSS from the 50’s who was instrumental in creating FOIA…and the intent behind FOIA.

SPOILER ALERT: Moss was a Democrat, the intent was to prevent a Republican president from pursuing things they were concerned about away from the eyes of the PEOPLE. UniParty fits well for the Washington Elite cuz it doesn’t matter if (D) or (R) accompanies their name.

  8. Source is a presidency sub domain on the UC Santa Barbara web site, presidency.ucsb.edu/data/orders.php
I’m not sure what difference having the source will make, the numbers are what they are. Bottom line, Obama has issued fewer executive orders than all four of his immediate predecessors, although he may come close to, or just pass, Bush43 by the end of his term.

I missed where you switched points, thought the Executive Orders and FOIA comments were related.

  9. @Toby

Obama Exec orders & FOIA are related because he used exec powers to dismantle FOIA. I’m not picking on him just pointing out why intended & subsequent checks/balances to government aren’t reassuring to me as a citizen…. also saying that blocking the check\balance of the people is a bigger threat than any prior or future president to US governance

Thanks for source…the numbers are expressed as percentage without a reference to what they are compared to…. so no way to understand them is all.

  10. As I stated when I posted them, the number for each president is the total number of executive orders issued divided by the years in office. That’s explained on the web page too. It’s not difficult to understand at all.

  11. @Toby

My bad… was still digesting a myriad of stats for courts overturning orders. Thank you

  12. @Toby

My bad… was still digesting a myriad of different stats re overturned exec orders. thank you for the reference, given the number of people who still question Bush re Middle East it seems I’m not the only one concerned about presidential overreach with either proposed candidate coming into office.

  13. I’m voting for Deez Nuts in November. That’s what I think of both Trump and Clinton.

  14. I think Trump as President would be a major problem for a very simple reason:

he’s full of shit, and proves it almost every time he opens his mouth.

Donald may be a pretty good business man. He is at least very good at structuring deals to his benefit, leaving behind a string of business failures with his name on it but without his money on the table anymore. His foreign policy seems to be “fuck you”, his immigration poilcy seems to be “fuck you”, and I can’t imagine him being able to work with congress in any manner to get anything done. Rather, I suspect he would piss each and every one of them off, trying to subtly expose something bad about them, and have the whole shitball come back in his face.

It might be fun to watch, but when you consider that the triangular table has Putin and Xi sitting at it and they are just waiting for the US side to be a little more distracted to take advantage and expand their reach some more. Trump’s reaction to that could very well be the sort of “fuck you” that you can’t take back, namely a version of WW3.

    Not into it.

Hillary is dishonest, that’s clear. She’s also not stupid enough to rock the boat too hard. She’s a bad choice, but the other choice is, well, scary has hell!
