Well no shortage of stuff to report this month, so lets get on with it:

Elyse Metcalf, owner of Elyse's Passion has prevailed in Cincinnati. A jury of six men and six women acquitted her of all six charges of pandering obscenity, saying that Cincinnati's laws governing Obscenity was too vague. This is a huge victory as Cincinnati has always been a very anti-porn city. I was part of a fundraiser for Elyse staged at the begining of the month. We were on the Bill Cunningham show and we were on for the entire show, which is unusual, Bill was very nice and the show was a lot of fun, he liked us. Unfortunately The Cincinnati PD didn't like us, Elyse was arrested again, this time for running a sexually oriented business without a sexually oriented business license, a law that has already been found to be unconstitutional. I am writing more about this but wanted to get this up as soon as possible. There are several people who deserve a LOT of thanks.

The people in Elyses neighborhood were very supportive of us, many showed up and helped us, they even made signs that said "What happened to the first amendment" and "The police are the only obscenity here" The mostly female protesters were breath of fresh air and the community support was my validation that I was doing the right thing.

The Chub restaurant from a block away brought excellent food to us all and we were every appreciative having been there since Elyses arrest at 4 PM we were all famished and once again the local community helped us out. Please drop in and tell em Mike South sent ya!

Radio Station WEBN and the Dawn Patrol for putting Myself and Veronica Knight on the air, we had a ball on that show!

Radio Station WLW and Host Bill Cunningham for devoting an entire show and having myself and Elyse on it as well as allowing Veronica Knight to call in. He treated us fairly and with respect and we had fun to boot.

All the TV Stations who gave us fair and balanced coverage and were really very nice to us the stations include Channels 2, 5, 12, 19, and 25 and I may have even missed one or two.

Felicia Fox and her boyfriend Tim (the only suitcase pimp in the biz who actually gives the term a good meaning!) Friends of mine since her first shoot Felicia is beautiful, intelligent and well spoken and was welcome addition to the event.

Taylor Hill (Magazine Model) She is sexy and adorable and fun she kept everyone laughing and having fun.

And all the people of Cincinnati who proved to us that it isn't the people of Cincinnati who are fucked up, it's the government.

In other legal news Jeff Steward, also known as Jeff Mike had his home and office raided by Los Angeles Police Vice Unit. They confiscated copies of Liquid Gold 5 (A pee video) and American Bukkake 11 (If you don't know, don't ask) It seems an undercover officer ordered these tapes via mail order. Legend (Jeffs Distributor) vows to fight the charges but in the meantime I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for new releases of either of these series.

In fact it seems that almost all studios have but some of the more excessive series on hold. Bukkakes, anal gang bangs, anything with pee or violence directed towards the females are being pulled from the shelves.

I have long stated that if we can't police ourselves in this biz then the government is going to do it for us and it appears that is coming true.

Utah has hired a "porn czar" whose job it is to wipe out porn in Utah. Cincinnati is said to be doing the same thing. Prosecutions are occuring in almost every major city.

Big tit pornette Brianna Banks (formerly Mirage) has signed an exclusive contract with Vivid, making her the newest Vivid girl.

The new Laura dolls being created for the release of the Tomb Raider movie are said to be an exact replica (though much smaller) of Angelina Jolie who plays the lead character. Angelina is said to have personally supervised the creation and paid every attention to detail...hmmm sounds like a hot seller to me.

With all the hoopla and porn prosecutions going on all over the place many high level industry insiders have been wondering where the Free Speech Coalition is in all of this. The answer of course is absent, the FSC refused Elyse's request for help, which was a bad move, Elyse's case was always seen by Lou Sirkin (her attorney) as winnable and the FSC needed a win. Even my attempts to goad them into helping fell on deaf ears. The result of this is that come dues time I think the FSC is going to find itself light on a few key contributors.

Speaking of Lou Sirkin the man deserves a standing ovation, with his win in Cincinnati (again) he has established himself as arguably the best first ammendment attorney alive. He has a long string of wins and few if any losses, way to go Lou.

Okay I get asked all the time about fluffers, so let me set you guys straight on this one. Fluffers are porns longest running myth. They only exist in the very large gangbangs. Think about it guys, if you have Temptress or Jenn Jameson polishing your knob and that isn't working...some fifty dollar hooker isn't going to get the job done.

The Gold Club Trial is in full swing here in Atlanta and the whole thing reads like a script right out of The Sopranos. The feds are trotting out mobsters left and right who have entered the witness protection program. The idea is to tie Gold Club Owner Steven Elliott Kaplan to the Gambino Crime family. Kaplan has been charged with ninety seven federal crimes including loan sharking, various forms of fraud, interstate prostitution, operating a criminal enterprise and other various felonies. For those not in the know The Gold Club is one of Atlanta's premiere strip clubs.

Oddly enough Seymore Butts was scheduled to attend but it seems last year he became infatuated with one of the other attendees and has since been following her around the country, The new starlet said that she would only attend if Seymore was not going to be there, so they nixed Seymore. Which girl was it? Well it wasn't Alisha Klass, Seymores ex-gape I mean girlfriend. Word has it that Ms. Patrick is not pleased with Mr Butts overtures.
