I am willing to bet that those who are experiencing slow sales will glance over this and heave a hearty "fuck you" towards me. But watch what happens when a couple of the companies use the ideas presented. I wonder whose business will thrive.
These are the same excuses people who steal music online use. I guess it makes people feel justified in doing something wrong.
Tony, piracy is only part of the issue of the slow sales. Most porn companies have held on to the same business model and have refused to evolve to cater to an increasing educated customer.
What many in porn fail to realize is that unlike the RIAA and MPAA, porn cannot absorb the losses due to piracy. Those music and movie industry has many more fans willing to buy more of their product and their product can be purchased anywhere. Porn can only be purchased in limited places or on the web.
Porn companies MUST evolve and adapt for continue the downward slide.
