Correction Kayden: It should be "it's" in the sentence.
Secondly, don't be making fun of Britney Spears because the woman was being drugged up by Sam Lufti. Why do you think she's out of the news now. Well that's because her father is in charge now, not some scumbag after her money and trying to control her. You're wrong on Britney Spears and that was not a good example. Any young woman smiling giddily in the camera and saying she's very happy (the day her children are taken away from her) must be drugged up. Her antics were crazy, but google Sam Lufti why don't you? Get your facts straight, please.
You should write a novel about Shelley.
I can't read this all now but will tomorrow. But maybe I'm in the minority but I don't see Shelley as a threat to the porn industry. The bigger threats are Republicans and religious organizations. Whether Shelley's facts are right or wrong doesn't really matter because I'm sure every organization lies or twists the truth a bit just to put out their agenda. Like how Vivid puts out they are the biggest porn company in the world. And how porn makes more money than Hollywood and all the major sports in the U.S. combines. Is any of it 100% true? Who knows. But at least she's not saying porn stars should burn in hell like other organizations do.

Steve, or Mr. Lick is the perfect guy to pull this together. Himself being caught twixed two industries in a battle of his own, should be the moderator for this new weekly TV expo/debate show.
I bet Shelley sure appreciates all the energy, attention and time you're devoting to her.
Does it bother anyone else when Darrah makes statements like (below) as though it is a commonly-known or stated fact...yet does not attribute said quotes to validate them?

And I've read many things saying how porn makes more than Hollywood and all the major U.S. sports.....combines. But even Mike questions the number about porn aren't true. You make it seem like I just make this stuff up out of thin air:

Shelly is including stats from gay porn as well which tend to skew the numbers because gays are not tested and they have a higher rate of suicide, statistically, in porn or not.
But lets face it mostly Shelly’s numbers are made up.

Sigh. Darrah, you obviously missed the point - which was to validate or back up statements which you make which you assume or believe is fact...rather than just pop 'em out under the assumption that you believe anyone reading what you say must be true or you would not have said it.
Also, the quotes you finally do make above only state what others have stated...it does not prove or disprove or validate anything.
Dirty bob, regarding your above post. Shouldnt the same standard regarding the validation of statements also be applied to Ms. Kross as well.
Kaden is not even close to the facts regarding std's, number of performers in the industry, or even how much money the porn industry generates. Remember, this is the same person who said..."our herpes rate is exactly equal to the genereal public." And Mike responded with the comment...."Excellent post.." Then he deleted my post that challenged Ms. Kross to VALIDATE her statements. Notice how Kaden has never mentioned HPV..((the virus responsible for most cervical cancer). I wonder why? Could it be that the number of porn performers being exposed by the working male talent who are carriers of this virus would scare most intelligent girls as far from the porn industry as they could get. Should a male performer who carries the hpv virus(and exposed every single sex partner to it) be banned from the industry or be allowed to continue exposing every single sex partner to this virus?
P.S. AIM also offers hpv tests and paps for a very low cost. And you can do a google search of .."hiv positve porn perfomers" and find several sites that list scores of hiv positive performers over the years.(about 90% are gay performers)
Holycrapper: I believe that whenever ANYONE tosses out figures or facts they should make some attempt to validate them if at all possible or feasable. True, it may sometimes lead to more boring or drawn out post(s); at least it would authenticate it to some extent.
For example, above you say "HPV..(the virus responsible for most cervical cancer). " Nice statement. Probably or possibly true. But again, it is just a statement made by you which you would hope/assume that readers would take as documented fact due to the manner in which you presented it.
Then you toss out "...the number of porn performers being exposed by the working male talent who are carriers of this virus would scare most intelligent girls as far from the porn industry as they could get. Should a male performer who carries the hpv virus(and exposed every single sex partner to it) be banned from the industry or be allowed to continue exposing every single sex partner to this virus?" which is thought provoking and on its own presents enough to warrant possible further conversation on its own - without having to resort to facts.

NOW, if you had prefaced that with "I believe" or "In my opinion" it would have gone from a factual statement neededing vaidation to a statement of opinion. BIG difference.
