Does anyone really give two shits about AVN awards anymore? I mean, they're so last century.
On that JimmyD I couldnt agree more, they don't mean much anymore, certainly not what they once did.
BUT
You shoulda heard em squeal last year when I posted their noms 2 days before they were going to LOL
Which is prolly why I will never be in the hall of fame LOL but I am in good company
I thought for sure Dirty Bob would make the Hall of Fame this year!

I had no idea there were this many award worthy porn movies out these days...

I still enjoy the AVN Awards and I am glad to see that X-Play is NOT nominated for Best Menus this year. That is quite a relief but seriously I certainly don't put down the AVN Awards like many of you are doing or put down any other awards that other organizations like XRCO, XBiz, AEBN, Nightmoves, FAME offer because I am truly happy to receive nominations for our various movies. I understand that some of you have a beef against some of the organizations and have numerous conspiracy theories being entertained in your minds but I just have a really good time leading up to the events and during the actual night in Vegas or wherever the other awards are held because it is fun. Did we all forget about fun?
This January, I plan to have a blast and will keep my fingers crossed that we win something big (important to me maybe not to you- oh well) but if we don't that's life. And to one of my favorite guys- JimmyD, yes I actually give 3 shits about the AVN Awards lol. I also will be there for the XBiz Awards, the Fame Awards, the XRCO Awards, the CAVR Awards (won't be there but will enjoy seeing Den's winners) and even the AEBN Awards as long as there is a bar nearby. My point is that I still try to put some fun into this business and once the fun dries up, I will blow away like an old piece of tumbleweed. However, before I blow away I do want to win Best Menus one more time maybe in 2011. What's that?..... Oh yeah we probably won't be around in 2011. So with that sad thought, I am going to have a great time in Vegas this January with a cute porn starlet on my arm and hopefully win something shiny.
Jeff: FINALLY, someone with enough backbone to admit that they enjoy being nominated and/or winning an award! For awhile there I thought that it was getting to the point where, to look cool, you had to feign interest and act nonchalant about being recognized for Xcellent work in the adult field. Cudos to you, Mr. M.
And hey - look at SOUTH - it has been over a dozen years since he won TWO MAJOR back-to-back AVN Awards and his head is still so high in the clouds that we STILL can't bring him back down to earth (unless you try to reel him back down with a 50 lb fishing line - heh heh)...
