I'm told that Steve Hirsch over at Vivid has a red face right now, red as in furious.
He paid 25,000 dollars for the Montana Fishburne tape and intended to pitch it as the usual celebrity sex tape. When news of it leaked out here on mikesouth.com, the entertainment media had a bit of a feeding frenzy and Hirsch changed his tactics. This time there wouldn't be any lawsuits and the whole leaked sex tape angle, which is what Montana had signed up for. This time he decided to spin it that it was like the Kim Kardashian tape and Montana thought it would make her famous in the same way that Kims tape made her famous. Hirsch's reasoning on this is that it might attract more celebs to his company.
Little did Hirsch know that Montana had been a stripper who went by the name Chippy D and that she had already shot a scene with her boyfriend Brian Pumper that was going to be released under that name....2 weeks before Vivid releases theirs.
A few questions come to mind here....first 25K isnt very much considering daddy could have paid ten times that and never missed it to squelch the thing, so I'd bet there's some rebellion going on here.
Another is does Hirsch really think that Kardashian ploy would work on anyone? Kim had her mainstream stuff in play before her tape was released, all her tape MIGHT have done was to give that a little bump. Now I'm not saying the move isn't savvy because it is. It's free advertising and it will also give him another few sales of Kardashian's abysmal excuse for a sex tape. If he really wanted another life for that tape he should release the golden shower footage that is said to be in it.
But the real fuck you to Hirsch here is that he was scammed, even if the amount was paltry ( you'd think she would be worth more than that Octomom creature, and he offered her 10 times as much or more.)
Well Vivid all that comes to mind is...You reap what you sow.

I was wondering whether or not Pumper's release prior to Vivid's release was part of the deal or not. I actually hope that Hirsch goes after Pumper on this one AND decides not to release the Montana tape.
If he did that, at least Vivid would wind up appearing as if they actually have a conscience and it would put all the attention on Pumper in regards to him coercing this girl into doing something that she really wasn't ready to handle.
As for the low amount of money Vivid paid for the tape...all I have to say is "the Black rate" strikes again.

Monicaf: How in the world could Hirsch go after Pumper? All Pumper needs is a release - he has no contract with Hirsch.
Best I can tell Pumper just shot the girl and is putting out product with her on it. Any added publicity like this would just help his sales - something he undoubtedly won't mind one bit. Any beef Hirsch has with the girl needs to be directed at the girl - especially if she represented her shoot for Hirsch as her first.
If it was Pumper who brought the sex tape to Vivid there very well may have been misrepresentation and fraud on his part.
He is/was her boyfriend, but it isnt known if he brokered the deal

Dirty Bob - This girl is NINETEEN and was clueless as to the political workings of the porn industry and she was DATING B. Pumper who has been working within the porn industry for around a decade. You're going to tell me that B. Pumper has NOTHING to do with this young lady going to the Vivid offices? COME ON!
On the initial press release about the Montana Fishburne "debut" Vivid tape the article even LINKS to a youtube video with Montana and B. Pumper. If B. Pumped has NOTHING to do with at least mentioning that Montana should go to Vivid, then WHY oh WHY would he be attaching himself specifically to her left and right and WHY if he was so convinced of her raw star potential would he WAIT to put out his own press release in regards to "Phatty's Rhymes and Dimes" AFTER Vivid puts out their press release?
I'll tell you why - because his video wouldn't have had nearly as much attention or hype around it as something with the Vivid name attached to it being that they have a specific celebrity LINE of adult videos.
I don't think Hirsch has plenty right to go after B. Pumper and he should, because B. Pumper as an adult industry "professional" should have informed and advised the woman he's dating to mention to Vivid about about the release she'd already shot with him. Especially being that he will DIRECTLY capitolize off it being that he is the FOUNDER of Freaky Empire.

Monicaf: You miss the big picture. First, I am not blaming anyone!
That said, best I can tell from what I have read, she hung with Pumper (so that alone should give her an idea of what she is getting into) which does not necessarily make her a member of the "Mike South Rocket Scientist Alumnus Association".
She signed a release and shot some footage - with obvious intent to have it released, and, well...that says it all. So what if she later went to and shot a scene for Vivid? And frankly, giving Pumper the idea of having her go to Vivid seems to me to be giving him more credit than he probably deserves. I still fail to see why you think Vivid has any recourse (other than hard feelings) against Pumper - assuming of course that nobody told them that there is footage out there of her in the can ready to be released. And since hype is the name of the game, I can't fault either company for milking the situation or, at best, making the best of the situation.

Would it be different if she was, say, 40 instead of 19? Legal age is legal age.
